The club was founded on April 18, 1903 as the football department of TV 1876 Malstatt. As a founding member of the Bundesliga, we have a rich history and have been firmly established in German football ever since.
In the years that followed, we as a club experienced ups and downs, with varying successes and challenges. Nevertheless, 1. FC Saarbrücken has always maintained a loyal fan base and a strong connection to the Saarland region.
Our club colors, blue and black, not only represent the identity of 1. FC Saarbrücken, but also symbolize the connection with the region and its people. Over the years, the club has produced numerous players who have made a name for themselves through their passion and commitment to football.
